Tramec is proposing 7 families of gearboxes category 2 to suit the ATEX market for which identification it is necessary to put an A before the standard description mentioned in the Tramec general catalogue in order to fully meet the requirements provided for Directive 94/9/CE and the specifications of a potentially explosive atmosphere
All the technical data are reported in the ATEX catalogue Cat. 2 , on the contrary the dimensional drawings and tables are to be found in the Tramec general catalogue.
All Tramec gearboxes series AT, AZ, AP,AM, AR, AX , AK, AH are designed and manufactured in compliance with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements Annex II of the ATEX Directive 94/9/CE and are classified as operative parts belonging to Group 2, category 2G and 2D ( G for Gas and D for Dust)
T4 is the temperature Class for Gas, and 130° for Dust

All the gearboxes of this category are intended for use at an ambient temperature between a minimum of - 20° and a maximum of + 40°C and at 1400 RPM input speed only

All Tramec gearboxes series BT, BZ, BP, BM, BR, BX, BK, BH are designed and manufactured in compliance with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements Annex II of the ATEX Directive 94/9/CE and are classified as operative parts belonging to group 2, category 3G and 3D ( G for gas and D for dust)
T4 is the temperature Class for Gas and 130° for Dust
